Wobbly distributor shaft

Wobbly distributor shaft
Okay - next question. FYSA, this is a '91 XJS with 73k miles. If oral history is to be believed, I am the third owner.
The distributor cap and rotor are Marelli parts and probably need to be replaced (but she was running fine before this, and the main goal was to replace the ignition wires and clean/regap the plugs - which I've done).
When I removed the distributor cap, it was a mess in there. See the pics here:
Distributor cap gross!!
Distributor bottom crud...note the tang from a previous rotor!
I have re-installed the plugs, and I'm getting ready to put the cap back on & install the new wires. But then.....
The rotor seems very wobbly to me. There is at least 1mm of sideways 'play' in the shaft once I've got the rotor secured back in place. I can't believe that this is normal, but then again (as already noted) the car was running very well apart from a little roughness (only at idle) that I was hoping the new wires & cleaned plugs would alleviate.
I'm assuming there is a bushing in there that needs to be replaced. If anyone has a part number/source/procedure, that would be great. Also, if this is normal and no action is necessary, just let me know that, too.
Once again, thanks in advance!!!
