XJS 6.0 with Lucas 36CU injection FF17 solved
Just a heads up.
Did some work on my XJS 6.0, replaced throttle linkage and set to two thou gap with closed throttle.
All went well until two daysl later when check engine light came on with FF17 code.
Code is listed as throttle position sensor fault. On checking the clip that holds wiring from throttle idle switch had broken, this allowed the wiring from throttle closed switch to drop down into valley. It was touching HT leads. My guess was inductive pickup from HT to low voltage signal from throttle switch was causing ecu problem with fuel injection ecu.
After temporary repair with duct tape (never go anywhere without it) to hold wire in usual place all is well.
Just thought it might be useful to avoid spending £130 approximately for throttle sensor potentionmeter if same fault occurred
