Cheap considering what the LS swapped blue XJ coupe went for on BAT the other day.
I swear the XJS must be the most wonderful, beautiful, rare car that you just about can't give away.
All I can still come up with is persistent deep-rooted fear of them mechanically.
Not that I'm complaining as I suspect like many of you, I'm a cheap-a$$....

I'll be the contrarian today ![Smile](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Well, I'm betting the new owner will enjoy the car a lot....just sitting in a collection looking very lovely!
There are many, many thousands of XJSs out there have been driven. There's no shame in a car like this simply being a showpiece for the rest of its life. Nuthin' wrong with showpieces!
Some guys who devote years of their lives to working on a car so it'll look like......a showpiece!
Cheers

Such a shame. The car will never be driven.

There's a place in the world for no-mile museum examples, preferably somewhere they can be viewed
and enjoyed but I guess a person can keep something hidden away if they want too.
I can't count how many times I've spent an hour google'ing photos of super low mileage cars to see how
a given thing is supposed to be routed or put together or some such.
That said, people don't seem to drive XJS's much anyway, and that is a shame, I'm in the cars are meant to be driven
and show their age/wear camp. The odd and end creampuff or restoration is just fine but it's boring to see a row of
perfect cars at a car show. I want to see stories, something that's lived. But that's just me.
I could see 100K becoming a driver
after the $10K it probly still needs to get it current is spent.
That isn't really a lot of money in the car world to some folks.
Though not I.

And very fastidious about keeping the car in prefect condition. It takes effort and dedication....and proper storage.
If you bought a new car today, put it in your garage, walked away, and never touched it for 33 years...well....it would look nothing like this car.
Cheers
