XJS Auto Gear Knob where can I get one how do I fit it?

You can get one anywhere your heart desires.
I got mine from an XJ40.
Cut the "T" off, locate in the piles of spare bolts in the shed a suitable threaded bolt and nut, weld the bolt upside down onto the cut gearlever, slide some black heatshrink over the lever, and then screw the knob on, warm and fuzzies all round, followed by a few JD's.

Only Joking Grant! and always open to new ideas and opinions but taking a saw to the 'T' bar does seem a little extreme!

I was the same when I decided to fit mine, but I was just sooooooo over the "T", and it sat too high for my liking.
I found a lever in the wrecking yard, so did the deed prior to dismantling the car, so if I hated what I did I could reverse the procedure without too much grief.
Never looked back.
I hear the same about stereo head unit changes, fair dinkum, its the 21st century, and cassettes are so hard to find these days.
