Default XJS fan blade

Working on my 92 that I just bought, was taking the fan out to replace the clutch when I realised that the blade was hitting the shroud. Looked closer and found 2 huge cracks in the hub that was allowing it to flex out at high speed and touch so it never got up to speed. I'm trying to resell the car as I dont have time for 2 project cars but need a fan to get it back on the road. If anyone has a good used one to sell, please pm me
thanks
Kevin

Any used plastic fan is a disaster waiting to happen, new ones are dirt cheap and won't decapitate the next owner.

I've had this problem of the fan hitting the shroud. All mounts including gearbox are new . Could anyone suggest a possible reason? Thanks

I had the same thing on my V12 when the trans mount was replaced, if you can't loosen and pull the shroud up then tighten back up again it may be worth the effort to trim the fan blades very carefully so as not to crack them assuming its plastic. I did this until I noticed my plastic fan had massive cracks and replaced with new OEM part.
