Good afternoon,
I purchased a 1996 XJS 7 months ago. Shortly before laying her up for a transmission swap I drove her at night for the first time. Boy are those low beams dim, I changed the bulbs out and there was no improvement whatsoever. Hell the brights are only as bright as the low beams on my truck! Anyone have a solution?
Thanks

They facelift plastic headlights are TERRIBLE. You think it’s bad now, try driving in the wet.
You have a few options….
1. Get the prefacelift headlights from a parts car, and convert to earlier style. With that done, you can then fit common aftermarket headlight units. $$ to $$$ cost.
2. Get a quad headlight conversion kit. $$$$ https://www.sngbarratt.com/English/#...0conversion%60
3. Fit LED bulbs. SEALIGHT 9004 HB1 LED Bulbs, 22000 Lumens 600% Brighter 6500K Cool White, Hi/Lo Beam 9004 LED Light Bulbs Up 60000 Hours Lifespan, Plug-N-Play Halogen Replace Fog Light with Cooling Fan, Pack of 2 https://a.co/d/bmvTaIq
Everyone will hate you for the LEDs, but for me it was cheap and infinitely safer to fit them.
