XJS Interior Dash Switch Dimensions
Want to install a push button switch in the space next to my Hazard switch, currently occupied by a blank. See this (borrowed from eBay) photo for reference.
Before I start taking things apart, want to be sure I can source a suitable switch. Anyone have a suggestion? Ideally, it will be a dual LED switch - background illumination with the rest of dash lights, with function icon lighting up when pressed in. Seems to be a few "standard" sizes:
Gonna go measure again, but if anyone has been through this exercise appreciate some guidance.

- 1.28" x 0.87" (32.5 mm x 22 mm)
- 1.33″ x 0.90″ (34 mm x 23 mm).
- 1.55" x 0.82" (39.5 mm x 21 mm)
- 1.60" x 0.79" (40 mm x 20 mm)
Gonna go measure again, but if anyone has been through this exercise appreciate some guidance.

What you want to do, is remove the blank, drill a hole through it, and use THAT as the base for your new switch. I don't think you'll even find anything that work perfectly. Cutting a hole and then adding a toggle switch, or something, will work great. I did that when I added a switch to dump the condensate that my oil catch can collects in the winter....although not this winter for some reason....
