The side windows turned out just fine, they really look great.
Being Lexan, the waviness will settle down a bit more as they go through some heat cycles and settle into their surrounds.

They look great, Andy, and blend well into the frame giving a seamless look to the side of the car. Well done!

Looking forward to the final pics once trimmed and fitted.

Nice job Andy, if you or anyone is interested there's an interesting article on shooting brakes at the following site.

Great video Andy, it really brings home the sound deadening factor. Thanks for posting, love to gawk at the great work

My floor pans have some minor rust, and I removed all the foam strips. After seeing this, this may be a better option than the foam strips, however, I feel heat insulation would be higher on my list with a product like Dynamat. I don't suppose the micro ***** help with heat insulation?

Any recommendations on rust converter vs rust remover products or brands? I think I recall you mention one of the Eastwood products in one of the earlier posts

Google OSPHO as good a rust converter as you can get and price wise averages around 20-25 dollars a gallon.

I'm not sure if the microspheres help with heat insulation. I do know that "Lizardskin" has different products for sound control and heat control but I don't know what the difference is.

I would use the exterior paint with microspheres AND the foam strips.

Agree with above post, any product that removes rust is good, I don't like the converters. Krudkutter rust remover is the one I'm using. I think they (rust removers) are all phosphoric acid but just different concentrations.

I also like Rustoleum Rusty metal primer, its very resistant to chips because it doesn't get super hard like regular spray paint. I'm not sure how it would react under a top coat but on a floor pan it would be perfect. I used this after Krudkutter rust treatment.

Yeah, one of my side projects was the rectification of an elderly tool box and it's equally aged contents.

I removed the loose rust from the tin box. Applied "Naval Jelly", a rust "converter" primed with Rustoleum primer. "oiled" the box in the military version of WD 40. Imperfect, but looks good and probably more resistant to the rust monster.

Tools are getting freed and derusted and "oiled' in a somewhat similar way.

So far, so good.

Thanks! Some parts are turning out better than I could have hoped which makes it difficult to know when to stop trying for perfection.

More soon!!

Brilliant job Andy.
Do you intend putting them into production? If so stick me down for one, it's my perfect car and Eventers are stupidly expensive.

Close! Maybe not production but I'm thinking that this will sell (when I'm ready to sell) much better in the UK/Europe. So my plan is to advertise over there!

Andy, I am very impressed with your car, and your imagination in creating it from pieces of other cars. Great work!

I like bullittandy's version better than the Lynx version. I'm a sport wagon fan anyway, and this is a very nice option.
