Hi Grant, Well after reading your explanation of the wire from the amp to the ECU I discovered my problem. The white wire from the amp that was souldered to the shielded white wire in the sleeve going to the ECU was touching the shield which was souldered to the black (ground) wire in the sleeve. I just got this car a few weeks ago and it ran fine. While replacing the oil pressure sensor I must have moved the wire from the amp to the ECU and caused it to ground Thanks so much for your input. Without your explaination I would be replacing every part on the whole car. I am one happy Jag owner now. Thanks again, Jerry

Aha, you got to luv these simple fixes.

Always remember that Jaguar are ALL female, think about it.

In nearly EVERY case it is something soooooo simple causing grief, you must get into the habit of sitting back, consuming some alcohol, pondering the beauty of what you have (the Jag I mean), and then drink some more, that always clarifies the issue,, HAHA.

There is a LOT of info on teh stickies at teh beginning of this sight, worth a read, maybe a few times, but really worth teh time in my opinion. Getting the 800+ page book by Kirby Palm, "Experience in a Book", downloadable here for FREE, is also good bedtime reading, lots of ideas in that also.
