Hello all,
I've been working on getting my 83 HE up and running, making progress on the fuel system. The fuel injectors are all clamped in with those little plates held down by 2 nuts on these little threaded studs (different threads on each side of course). A few of them came out because the nut was pretty well rusted onto the stud, despite my best efforts with penetrating oil. I have been able to free a couple of the nuts from the studs/rods but some are still quite stuck, and I fear I'll destroy them in the process of freeing the nuts.
Anyone know of a replacement part for the threaded rod? I have looked all over and I don't see it on any of the usual suspects.
Alternatively, why not just screw the stuck nut and stud back in? Or just use a threaded rod of the same pitch as that of the inlet manifold and use nuts of the same pitch? There is no reason I can see for using a different pitch at each end of the stud. If you are worries a drop of loctite will do it.

This is a shot of mine coarse is 1/4x20 in the manifold likely down to aluminium and fine for the nut 1/4x28. The nuts on these manifolds can come loose so I don't think a coarse threaded nut will help that, I do have some 1/4x28 brass nuts that I will try if these don't stay tight. I will be assembling my manifolds in the next week or two.
