Hi all - I have a 1986 XJSC that needs it's timber trim redone but I cant see how to remove it from the dashboard area. It appears to be screwed from behind and so I thought I would try to remove the dashboard itself but I can't see how that is fixed either.
I have acquired the workshop manual which covers most things but not this.
Can anyone provide a little guidance please?

The wood trim is just held in by pins going into friction-creating fittings. You have to VERY carefully, using plastic tools, lever it out. Start on a small piece (eg round the interior light switches) to get the hang of it.
The veneer is on a solid wood backing, about 1/4 inch thick, getting the tool behind the wood backing is important, and NOT bending the backing, or the veneer will crack off.
