The Modding Has Begun!

The Modding Has Begun!
So after much deliberation I finally installed some Mina Gallery springs and exhaust on my 11' XKR. Just like my NSX and other cars I've lowered the ride seems to have actually improved. More controlled and less bounce. The stance is perfect, just needs some aggressive wheels to fill the arches now!
The exhaust sound is about has close to perfection for a svelte GT as you can get. The hardcore in me may want for more noise later but for now it seems to suit the car fine. It has a "finished" deep tone and absolutely no drone. If I decide I want more sound I can replace the center resonators with stainless straight pipes for relatively cheap.
Here are some before and after pics so far. Excuse the crappy cell phone camera!

Is there another piece to the exhaust that finishes it? It looks too short in your install pictures.
Did you have the 1200 RPM drone on the stock exhaust? I'd like to get the Mina, but don't want drone to get worse which is what I am reading on some threads will happen.
Your car looks great!

Beautiful! I have installed the Mina chrome hood and side vents on my 07 XKR. And, I ordered MRR Design GT1 chrome rims (20 in) to round it out. (Pics to follow as soon as I'm allowed...) such a beautiful vehicle. Truly the hottest GT car in production today. I didn't elect to lower her just yet, hoping that moving to the 20 in option satisfies my thirst. Again, great choices on your girl. Can't wait to see your wheels. Although my taste trends to the shiney vs blacked look, its hard to go wrong either way.

DpDondero, 20's alone won't fill the fender gap. Mine has 20's. Drubnitz, I too modded my NSX's but never too much. I usually do wheels, drop, exhaust - that's it. And it's enough to make the car feel and look more exotic. I may do pulley and tune but I'm not drag racing so if it'll void my warranty it isn't quite that serious.
It's really a shame most XK owners are so conservative because the car truly has some of the purest most organic lines of any car I've seen. A clean drop and wheels makes the car so timelessly elegant while being uber muscular and imposing all at the same time. I'm so sure wheels will make this one of my all time favorite looking cars!

The XK is one of the few cars I could consider driving without lowering it. I said consider. It's one of those things where once you try it, you don't want to not have it. The car doesn't look right with wide aftermarket wheels without a drop.....and I always, always change wheels. I just can't wait to see which wheels Evoking gets. Maybe he'll pm me his choice.

Hey Evoking I meant to ask you... have you been happy with that paint sealant stuff you had installed? When I got my hail damage repaired, they pitched me on having it put on. I'm definitely having a little trouble keeping swirls out of the paint... I'm trying to decide if I just want to deal with it and give the car a light polish a couple times a year, or try something like the sealant. I think their price was something like 250$ or so (which is supposed to last 6 months I believe). Kind of steep but I'd think about it if it really does protect the clearcoat.
Your car looks great... looking forward to see what you choose for wheels. When you say the ride is better, do you mean you really don't feel additional harshness in the ride at all (over decent roads, obviously)?
