Default 07 XK Valve Cleaner/Fuel System additives/recommended oil

I have a 2007 XK, this is my first car so I want to learn as much as possible, about 96.5k miles.
Thoughts on fuel system cleaner/valve cleaner.
Also which oil do you guys recommend, ive read my owners man so I know what is suggested, but new products have emerged since 2007.
Any advice is welcome.

Congratulations on your very exceptional first car

To care about it in depth I'ld recommand you have an hydrogen descaling . It'll deep clean the engine, valves,catalytic,exhaust... everything..
I 'm having it done on my freshly received XKR next week.
With high mileage cars, its almost a must.

About the oil, i'll read answers too :-)

yes, but after clearing it I had a P0116 code. I checked and the coolent was very low.
So I fill it, and made a hard reset. I drove 25 miles and it didn't came back, EGR neither.
I received today the new EGR from Jaguarclassics and will have it changed once mechanics will come back from holidays..I've read it should be changed between 80k and 110k miles. So I prefer to have it changed.
I discovered the Hydrogen descaling since then and will have it done. can't be bad for the beast.

How much coolant - you might want to check around for leaking hoses - those valley hoses in the V of the engine are a failure point.

The level was around 3cm under the minimum.
The thing is the hoses under the supercharger has been changed in 2019 by the previous owner. I've checked the level after my last ride and it hasn't decrease.
Thanks for the tip, I will definitely monitor it for a while after each trip.

That's good, that hose job is quite pricey.

Hey @McJag222 , I shouldn't have express too much happiness! today I drove the car to enjoy some sun and after around 10 miles, the orange warning appeared... Litlle further it turned red... and once back home I did an odb engine test and the P0401 EGR trouble is... back.
So tomorrow I'll push to find an appointent sooner than soon for the hydrogen descaling . Few days of sun are about to finally come and would have really want to enjoy them! I don't dare to drive with that red warning on .
(I hate electronic in cars...)

That's too bad, at least you've got an EGR on order. Any driving symptoms - loss of power, misfire etc?

What's worying me is that I can't find any symptoms...Although I don't really know the car ,having done only around 220miles since I picked it,I don't find she lacks power. When i'm in sport mode and pushing my foot ,even though it's at low speed, it increase fast and with the sound we all cherish...
The computer would'nt tell me, I wouldn't know there's a problem ( but once again, never drove another xkr before ,so, not sure if I can compare).
