07 XKR strange oil leak
Hi all, have not been on in a while, so now I need help so I'm back. My XKR, 2007, 48k mi, pampered, heated/cooled garage kept, seems to have developed oil "drip" issue. Is slow drip(16mm dia drops)coming off the pass front, lower, leading A arm bushing. Have removed all underneath body pans and top engine cover but can not detect any oil leaks anywhere. Area around dripping A arm bushing is dry on top and all over, only wet on bottom and on rubber seal part of bushing(must really be a bearing but?) Same bushing driver side shows dried up oil stains similar to dripping one on pass side. Car engine running, no leak/drip. Car moving, drips occur! Car recently driven in rain several weeks ago. Since this bushing or bearing seems to be rubber encased, is it possible water has gotten in and small amount only comes out when car moved resulting in dripping? Anyone out there ever seen anything similar? Are these A arm support really lubricant encased bearings or bushings??

I am just about to change my bushes on both sides on my 2006 XK. Only one is leaking. I obtained some genuine Jaguar oil filled bushes at a great price.
£18 for the pair
There are many on EBay especially on Ebay UK
It is just removing the lower control arm and pressing out the large 80mm bush.
I believe the smaller bush at the other end of the control arm is not available.
Complete control arms are available but are more expensive especially from Jaguar.
A front wheel alignment will be required after replacement. Camber and track

If we're talking about the front banana arm, SNG Barrett carries them for around $120. The X150, X350 and X351 all use the same part, I believe. I've used them before and they are identical to the OEM parts. Replacement is pretty straightforward. If you have the tools and the workshop manual, it should take an hour or two.
Alternatively, you could just get the bushing by itself and press them in/out. You'd save some money, but the hassle isn't worth it in my opinion.
You can get the alignment pretty close using true marks, otherwise go for the lifetime alignment deal at Firestone.
