Seem's I'm a serial XK buyer and having just sold my F-Type R am back to try and find my perfect spec XKR. I know the production figures have been done to death but I'm just wondering, anecdotally, how rare you chaps think a 11MY+ BRG XKR Coupe might be? I'm thinking 'quite rare'? Im in the UK so appreciate it's not the same as for the US. According to this UK website about 790 5 litre XKR's in total have been registered.
I'd be interested in what "top money" actually means.
There isn't an XKR (X150) in the world of any year that would be worth more than ......... $35K or thereabouts. Whatever that is in BSP........... okay, ₤25,608.
At least to me.
Course there is the R-S and the GT, but those are specialty vehicles.
Suffice it to say, I'm aware of only one other car that left the factory equipped exactly like mine. Does that add to what it's worth? Probably not much, but ... ????

You are used to the price of cars in the USA. I would have put my 2010 XKR at around that value in New Zealand dollars and mine would be considered cheap in Australia!
There is only one 5 litre XKR on the market here at the moment, a 2010 and it is advertised for US$43,000.
The most expensive I have seen sell recently was a 2014 XKR for US$59,000 and it sold within a month.
That being said, I've never seen another late X150 on the road. BRG was a rare colour choice for original buyers. Since I got my 2015MY two years ago, I've seen two more BRG Signature models advertised and one Dynamic R. I haven't seen any BRG Portfolio models advertised.
When I wanted to update my 2007 XK, there were plenty of 5.0 litre cars advertised but it was almost impossible to find anything other than Black or White. I like BRG but I wouldn't pay over the odds for a colour. However, I was prepared to travel 300 miles to get one.
Thanks everyone for the replies. Prices seem to be really strong in the UK for really nice examples and people are buying them (at least they're going off AutoTrader). There are some circa £40k ($54k) Dynamic R's that seems a bit out there, although I bet they sell eventually.
Graham - Having had a string of black cars, mainly due to the choice I was determined to try and find a BRG because I like the colour so much. You've convinced me to take a look, I was really hoping someone would.
Is anyone able to do a VIN spec lookup for me please? My free Topix account doesn't seem to do that any more. This is the car in question.
For that car the price, with mileage, is what you’d see on the forecourt. There are no guarantees, caveat emptor. That said, it does look to be well cared for and if it’s the colour you want then go for it. There may be a bit of wiggle room on price, you never know until you ask.
I was told the reason is compliance with General Data Protection Regulations 2016 and Porsche make the same claim. In a rather bizarre interpretation of these regulations, JLR still give open access to OSH (Online Service History). Here is the summary record for SAJAC43R2DMB49834:
Here is the service history:
Some major gaps to explain that would spark my interest ......
I had seen that Graham, very useful. I did wonder if the gaps pre 2016 are due to it not being recorded online before then?
Mine was registered in April 2014 and has a continuous OSH from PDI at 1 mile on 14/04/2014. I think OSH became standard in 2014 so this 2013 example could still have the old printed Service Handbook to cover the first services. Unusual because a Dealer would normally transfer the earlier records to the OSH when setting it up.
I wouldn't expect any nasty surprises with an X150 that has been dealer serviced at 12 month intervals but rubber deteriorates over time independent of mileage so if suspension bushes are original, they may be borderline at approaching eight years.
I'm in the UK and when I was looking for a 2014 XK Dynamic R late in 2018 the cheapest I found was on a dealer forecourt for £46k
I kept looking then found an unfranchised dealer selling one as a 'normal' XKR for £32.5k, albeit it was in white (and I really wanted stratos grey) but for the price, free delivery (from over 200 miles away) and wangled a full tank of full, so couldn't complain
BRG wasn't an option on the Dynamic R, and I couldn't go for IRR as felt I'd need to pack the glove box with sweeties....lol
MarkyUK you lucky sod. Your car must still be worth a good £10k than you payed for it? A BRG Dynamic R would the ultimate spec for me but I suspect there are only a handful in existence.
