155 Speed Limiter

155 Speed Limiter
I've searched and also don't remember ever reading, so I will just ask...
Does anyone know how to remove the speed limiter on these things?
I'm sure there HAS to be a way, probably using SDD (which I have) but maybe there is an additional or modified file that would need to be inserted into the SDD software?????
There are some quite knowledgeable people in here on SDD stuff............................................. .

Cee Jay,
Where do you plan to drive over 155? If you attempt it in your convertible with the top up, I think you'll lose the rear window. That glue is at least 8 years old, so it's bound to fail any time now.

Have you been able to drive an XKR at that speed? I am wondering if the additional standard R aero changes help enough for you to tell the difference. Would be a fun experiment to drive them back to back on same track, probably already been done many times. :-)

Speed limiter is nothing to do with the engine tune, it's in the CCF.
But you need to think in metric...

I have a 'secret' place to go sorta fast, and yes I've been to 155 and there wasn't any noticeable lightness, and I noticed zero buffeting of the top or rear window.
I certainly don't have a REGULAR need to go over 155, but once in awhile I'd like to have the ABILITY to do so......
Therefore.....
CCF..... but about WHERE would it be located????
Greyed-out Values?
Altered X150.cfg file???
Guess I plug stuff in and take a look around.
250 kmh....... guess I search for something that seems right.

Have a Great Saturday Night,

This forum does not endorse reckless/dangerous driving on public roads, so if this thread turns into a "I did this, I did that" fest of who drove the fastest, it'll end up locked like all the other threads on the same subject.
To answer the technical aspect of the question;
The vehicle speed limiter is defined in a field in the CCF
It's one of those fields which is "greyed out" in a standard SDD, dealer cannot change it.

Man, I'd NEVER do such a reckless and dangerous thing. Measuring 'manhood' doesn't involve safety, public or otherwise.
This is just a "Golly, is this possible?" thing.
I'd probably never actually DO it anyway. Too good a chance of bricking some module.

I pushed up close heading a up a long straight hill after a dip on an empty section of 3 lane interstate. Car felt stable but I could feel the edge and know it was too close to push it into a turn. Car didn't bleed off speed very quickly either once off the juice and 100 felt like 55 in comparison. Took about seven seconds to get there from 90, unexpectedly quick which is why it got so close. Felt like another ten to slow down.
The experience really reinforced that the aero works well and the minimal upgrades are all that's needed to push it further. I felt that a small front lip spoiler would make it more stable in heavy rain and it would need complimented by the speed-pak read spoiler for balance. Personally I'd rather have less top end and more downforce at lower speeds.

If I interpret Cee Jays location correctly, very few of you know the roads that he has available to him. I've driven the area, and all of us have the right to feel jealous.
Threaten to lock threads all you want, but this is Americas back-roads at their finest.

Interstate 80 between Knolls and West Wendover is 46 miles of 99% flat dry lake bed with zero intersections, zero wildlife, zero vegetation (due to extremely high alkaline content, it IS a dry salty desert) and barely any traffic other than tourists going to Wendover to gamble on weekends. I've never in my life seen any L.E. other than the last five miles before the Nevada border.
