Guy Salmon say the crank's had it so it's for scrap or....
Is there such a thing as a reliable company that can fit a recon engine? Everything I've seen so far suggests 99% of these recon co's are charlatans at best and gangsters at worst.
If anyone has any positive experience/recommendations I'd be glad to hear them, the garage says around 8k to source and fit a new engine which just isn't going to happen - I'd rather scrap it and buy a runaround for a quarter of that

Yes you are in the wrong forum area however I would suggest simply buying a complete engine out of a wrecked vehicle Im always keeping an eye on Jaguar motors and they are quite plentiful
The only time I would suggest a rebuild is if you were to increase the displacement which Yes would be exciting but definitely not cost effective
