One of the first things I had to do after I got my XKR was disable the TPMS.
I checked all the wheel sensors with an Autel TS401 TPMS tool, the sensors were all fine, good pressures, good batteries, good wireless signals.
I checked the TPMS system using the dealer-level SDD diagnostic tool, the TPMS control module was not communicating on the CANBus. I reset it and it worked for a day, then failed again.
So it's disabled now. I'd rather check the tyre pressures the old fashioned way than have a dashboard full of error messages...
Actually, I cheat a little, I use the Autel TS401 to read the pressures from the sensors that are still in the wheels.

Mine alerted me on low pressure on a rear tire (can't remember which side), so I pulled over and gave the tire a few pushes with my foot. It seemed pretty stiff, but with such low profile tires it is of course difficult to tell. I suspected TPMS was just throwing a fit for no reason, as I've read they do, and started planning on having it deactivated. However, as I happened to be on my way to a tire shop just then (to buy winter tires), I asked them to check it. Lo and behold; a sizeable screw right in the middle of the tread.
So for now at least, I'm a TPMS-believer.
