2007 Sliding Flap Kit

Guys just recently acquired 07. I need a black sliding flap kit for convertibles. Mine is missing on the passenger side. Does anybody know where you can get these and if they have them in stock, or better yet used. Man - I’ve scoured the US yards with no luck. Secondarily, if I actually can find one - then how there are they adjusted.
I sure hope this Jag turns out to be a collector because I am blown away on used parts pricing, let alone new. Wow! is all I can say. I do love the looks of this thing though.

First thing I'd do is check with the Forum sponsors who sell parts, suc as SNG Barratt. Tell them you're a Forum member and ask if they offer a discount. If they can't get it, you might be out of luck.
Hopefully, what you need is still available and is not part of a larger assembly. If it's no longer available from Jaguar, then you'll have to scour the junkyards (breakers, in the Queen's English).
Or a knowledgable Forum member may have a solution.

The bad news is that you bought your 2007 XK in the hope that it would become a collector car. While it may increase in value somewhat, you shouldn't hold your breath waiting for it to achieve collector status. It's not an XKR or a limited production model. Enjoy your car for what it is, and know that it's a gorgeous and timeless design that's lots of fun to drive and is more reliable than its peers.

Thanks for the parts tips and I agree with the sentiments about an 07… I didn’t buy it for collectability. I truly bought it for what it is which a comfortable - cool looking convertible. My problem is that I’m picky and probably should’ve spent a few more grand and got a mint condition one. I can easily add up $1000 worth in cosmetic parts that do not affect its performance at all. I paid $14,000 though for an 07 with 77,000 miles so I think it was a good price, but is an 8 out 10 due to cosmetics that I would like to correct. Anyways thanks for the advice.

About 3 years ago, I replaced one on my wife's 2009 Portfolio. That thing was a bear to find - I looked for months. Problem was, I could not find a part number for it - it wasn't shown on any of those parts breakdown diagrams that you find on any of the online Jag parts places, like Harper's, or Gaudin, etc... Finally I stumbled on one I think more by dumb luck than anything else, but SNG Barrett had it. I comes as a kit with the sliding panel and a cable and a springy thing. The part number was C2P21070LEG. The "LEG" I'm pretty sure is the color code. The Portfolios for that year are all grey, I think it's "Legrand Gray". (Don't quote me on that) It's a little tricky working on a convertible top in general, and this was no exception. I had to remove the little back seat, and the interior panel, and the panels in the trunk to get at the thing, but if you have a little bit of mechanical skill and a lot of patience you can get the job done. Oh, and they're not cheap. That little piece of plastic was $220! Good luck, hope you can find one.

LEG is the color code but it is Warm Charcoal. There are five other colours listed as well:
