Default 2007 XK Alpine CD jammed

my 2007 xk with standard alpine stereo cd player is jammed. cd player has been working fine and is loaded with 6 cd's . got in the car the other day and turned on the cd player and nothing played, cd light on screen shows cd #1 but wont play or eject or advance to another cd. went in it this morning and when I turned on the ignition the player sounded like it was trying to eject all the cd's but none came out and it went back to being locked up on CD 1. radio head unit works fine. problem is with the player. I don't have any cd's with paper on them, cant understand what would have jammed it. any one had similar problem, suggestions, other then the dealer ?

NO MOSES. only a tray at a time and sometimes when driving you hit a sharp enough pot hole, bump, etc it can pop the playing cd up out of the tray and jam it. We at dealers see this every now and then so we know how to fix it. Oh but he doesnt want to go there

in that case take something long, firm, yet soft to not damage the player or disc, and open the door and work the cd back into the tray

I am not opposed to taking it to my jag dealer thought it may be something simple or someone with this alpine unit had the same problem it has been working fine and I don't use cd's with any paper on them that can come off and jam the player, just bad luck I guess.

I agree I even tried some two sided tape to try and grab the cd and eject it with no luck. going to take it to the jag dealer next week and I am pretty sure they are going to have to pull it and probably send it out for repair. I had a 2002 Lexus SC with a Mark Levinson Sold it 2 years ago with 99,000 owned it 6 years never had to take it to the dealer for anything The Jag is better looking though !!

Thank God I bought a extended warrantee, dealer replaced the unit $1300.00 for a refurbished head unit. I hope it was replaced anyway and not just unjammed ! Hate to be cynical but my daughter is a service manager at Ford and the horror stories she tells me about warrantee work are disturbing.

My 2008 XK started doing this too.... just trying to load a disc when the ignition turned on .... and I could even get the discs out.
I ended up taking it to the Jag dealer who got the discs out but the changer still kept trying to load.
They quote $2,700 for a new box but they found one on E-bay for me for $95 which they said they was install.
Hope it works!!!
