Default 2007 XK Boot lid

can someone post a pic of what cover goes over the big hole on the right in the boot lid? Mine was missing at purchase and I have no idea how to buy a part. Thanks!!

I believe that is the hand hold recess for closing the boot lid. Should be a black plastic “liner” that fits in the hole.

What V7Sport said. It is a handle for closing the trunk. Mind you, it only really works well if you're inside the trunk, thus the need in the US for the inside trunk release.

heh! noted this while shopping for XK's, as i did test drive one convertible. the handle very clearly was designed with the coupe in mind only, it's perfect for pulling downward from above. not so hot given the funny angle on the 'vert.

Yeah, that handle works much better with your hand palm-up and pulling mostly towards yourself to begin.

P/N C2C1539.

It was 4.77 UKP when I purchased one for the same reason in 2018 but I see it's gone up to 8.48 UKP. Still, that's cheap for Jaguar plastic and it is available which is becoming rarer for trim parts.
