They are two complicated steel supports that fit between the front exhaust pipes and the transmission, so it's not just a "band".

Recently purchased a 2007 xk and have the "drone" problem. My dealer has no idea of the fix and is unaware of the TSB number. I would greatly appreciate any information you can send me re - part numbers, etc. Thanks so much.

If anyone has them for short money and wants to sell a LH and RH bracket for a fair price please contact me.
Thanks

Continue your forum search, a member did draw a diagram of one of the mounts, the other is a mirror image.

I have tried other forums with no help. I registered today I searched for 07 xk drone or hum and BANG! Being new to Jaqguar I didnt know this was a typical XK problem. I was ready to start removing serpentine belts, balance tires, loosen up the exhaust and retighten it and replce wheel bearings. I came here to you all and there it is with part numbers. I will order the brackets and install them confident by all the replies here it will take care of the problem and I look forward to having a drone free Jaguar. I cant tell you how excited I am because I'm the kind of guy that the smallest noise drives me nuts and I have been going crazy over this. My hats off to all of yo here. Thanks! Caperss
I can tell you from my experience with an 07 XK that the supports Jaguar designed to retrofit cure the droning issue instantly and permanently. The best money spent on that car...wait, in fact in 6 or 7 years of ownership it was the ONLY money spent. Wonderful cars.

If the drone happens between 1 and 2000 rpm there is an exhaust hanger for the cat converter that is in the dealer books to fix it. The hanger is redesined. Also. If you get slight vibrations at 70mph your rear rotors are probably warped. I had dealer replace exhaust hangers and I replaced all my rotors and the car was like new again. That and high speed balance may help you out.
