2007 XK jag door not closing tightly with roof up, now battery completely dead, any idea what I can do?

 

Use your emergency key (inside fob) to open left-hand door (remove cover from keyhole) or use key to open boot/trunk (keyhole probably hidden by number plate). Once in the boot/trunk you can access the battery to charge or change.

 

Or connect a battery or battery charger to the external +ve terminal which is aft of the rear wheel on the left-hand side.

Yep, window drop doesn’t work without juice. After you charge the battery you need to do the window reset sequence.

 

but a completely dead battery typically means its replacement time.

 

Agreed. Should have just said that the car needs juice to run the window reset procedure, so the window drop will function and the door will close properly.
