2007+ XK/R Available in Racing Green?
#21
My local jag dealer in NC has a 2007 XKR in BRG which is the same as my brother in laws E type, the car is beautiful and prob the best XKR I has seen it has 27000 miles on it, the problem they want $48 for it! Wow that's a lot yes prob it's one of only a very small number as it is a coupe, but $48k at $35-40k I may of been interested!
I bought my 2007 XKR Coupe (with approc 31,000 miles) in BRG with 20" Senta wheels, Adaptive Cruise, Upgraded Radio w/Sirius, Lux Package with leather dash, extra seat controls etc. though a private party here in CA for about 40K, including an extended (a Good One) warrantee through 4/2015.
I know it's less via a private party. the dealers neeed to make some money, but that price you're quoting is high.
Perhaps there is some wiggle room?? Is this a CPO vehicle? Warrented?
Good luck!

Actually, just saw this car advertised on cars.com for $46,950.
Maybe Leith Jaguar/Porsche is realizing their price may be a touch high. With such low miles, depending on options, probably worth more than 40K. If you could settle somewhere in the middle, it could be a great find!! Good luck.

I agree. I think 48K is pretty steep.

I purchased April of this year. Per KBB, that was the suggested price for my car in excellent condition, with the options and mileage and through a private party. If it were through a dealer, (retail) the suggested price rises to $46,410, and if CPO, then it goes to $47,410.
So, actually, I retract my previous statement about this dealer price being way too high, it well may be only a thousand or so too high at this point. the $46, 950 is about right if the it all adds up, and the condition is trult great.
Only you can determine if this is worth it to you or not.
Good luck!

Black and Tan are no cost options for top color. Green, red, blue... maybe one or two others were extra cost options. I didn't want to deal with cleaning a tan top, so it was black or green for me... I just happened to find green on green and snapped it up when it came up.

"Jaguar Racing Green" was developed for the ill-fated Jaguar Formula 1 entry in the early 2000s to appear more photogenic on TV. British Racing Green was too dark. JRG is brighter (more metallic) than British Racing Green, Botanical Green or any other dark Jaguar green colors. It was apparently available as a special order on road Jaguars at least until the 2007 XK. There is currently a 2007 XK in Jaguar Racing Green advertised for sale in the classified adv. section of Classic Motorsports Magazine (not me). Similar brighter shades of green: Google image searches for Bentley Exp 10...and or...IMCDB 2002 Jaguar R coupe. (No, the "R Coupe" was a concept car, not just an XKR. And the green was the brighter colour used on the TV-oriented F1 cars). (Now someone will come along with paint color numbers implying I'm full of $#!+. Such is life on the etherweb.)

Here is a helpful resource I used when picking out what years/colors to look for.
Jaguar XK Colors | GTCarLot.com - Car Color Galleries
Another helpful bit of information in this e-book, also details interior colors availible. The years in this link are based on the UK, which runs one year sooner than our US model years. So a 2009 is the 5.0L 2010 in the US, etc.

Botanical Green is almost black unless in direct sun. The flecks are Xirallic -- big, shiny flakes. In most shots, the car seriously looks black.
This color was available on the 2010s and some of the 2011 run -- Up until the Xirallic factory was shutdown due to proximity to the Nuke Reactor in Japan that went unhappy after the earthquake.
