2007 XKR convertible driver side window problem
My window is working just fine but when I open the door it's not dropping that half inch or so it's supposed to in order to allow the door to close. The passenger side is working fine and like I said, the window itself is operating fine with the switch. Any ideas?

Try a reset:
To re-learn the glass operating characteristics, the associated door must be closed (door ajar switch inactive). The glass must then be driven fully down and held stalled at the bottom of its travel for a minimum of 1 second. The glass is finally driven to the fully up position and held stalled for a minimum of 1 second. The re-learning procedure must also be accomplished to regain the automatic glass closing sequence.

Battery is apparently good? Still having issues.
When I attempt this window reset I'm not hearing any clicking at all and it doesn't appear to be working or fixing anything. The car is occasionally not recognizing my key fob with a brand new battery in it so I thought it might be electric gremlins but had the battery checked at Firestone and they said it was fine. I've also noticed that my left reverse light is out which I thought odd given that it appears to be LED.

Try to reset the computers by disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes. Then follow the instructions in this thread after reconnecting the battery: XK / XKR Battery Overview and Replacement
Just about everything in this car is computer controlled.
Just like your home computer, one or more computers in your car can 'crash'. This will reset everthing and hopefully resolve your issues.

One more thing: you car has only ONE reverse light! The corresponding unit on the other side is the rear fog guard lamp. When these units are OFF, they look identical.
With regard to the window: unless your battery is less than 3 years old, that may be the cause of this and other electronic "issues". The symptoms are random and illogical and can include window malfunction, lock malfunction, convertible top malfunction, random warning lights etc. If the car is not used daily it should be on a battery minder always (CTEK is the best). But a new battery almost always cures all of this strange behaviour.

Ok, so while the battery might be good I did have some corrosion on the posts. Nothing too heavy but I figured I would start with removing the battery and cleaning that up. After doing that I reset the brake and windows and things seem to be working. However, both doors almost seem out of sync as if the windows don't lower soon enough. Perhaps I'm just used to Porsches but I feel as though I have to slam the door cause the window is hitting the rubber insulation and then once the door is fully closed the window is going up.
