Can you please tell me how many miles/kilometers that car had? I guess its not smart to buy and install used XKR struts if the car has 200k miles on it, right?

60k, mine now has 117k...I felt that if I get 20~30 additional miles I would be quite satisfied. The car will probably be replaced by that point.

I am in a similar situation. My XK has done 103.000 miles and I am considering getting used set of struts from an XKR that has done 60.000 miles before it ended up in a scrap yard. I guess the shocks are still in good shape.

Ride in my car is not bad but I feel an XK should ride somewhat better. My suspension is original (no visible oil leaks) but I have a nasty creaking noise coming from the suspension every single time I am going over speed bumps, on all 4 corners.

P.S. Please tell me do XKR struts have spring isolators as well? If yes, have you replaced them?
P.S.S. XKR struts you installed supports CATS system as well (they have connectors on top?) Did you have to re-program any modules after the installation?

Last question: How much did you pay for all 4 x XKR struts? Just curious to know what is a good price to pay for them?

Thank you!

I ordered new insulators but got anxious and installed with originals. I had compared them to the xk units I removed and they (xkr) looked to be in better condition than originals were. I will install new ones later on this fall when I do a few other things.
Yes they are CATS, no programming...plug and play.
@ $500 usd +/-
I should have done this when I purchased car @ 89k miles on it...so much better handling!

How would you describe ride comfort? Same as default XK suspension?

Xkr struts in D feel ever so slightly less firm than xk in S mode.... the loose 'sky hook - floating' is gone.
In S mode everything is tighter/more responsive.
