yes my A/C light doesn't light up either. I think it adjusts heat when in ECO mode but doesn't turn on the A/C. This is my best guess but it hasn't been hot enough for me to confirm
Been a little warmer and can confirm AC works with AC light off as Sean thought! :-)

Glen - No, it turns out that there are two faulty parts. The installer has determined that the the head unit replacement module either V2 or V3 part number LZ200900 9TY011 is faulty. I am now in the midst of negotiating with Asvegen for a replacement module to be shipped. I expect that the replacement will be shipped via overnite freight sometime late this week. If it works properly, the install should be completed by 5/8. At this point I am sorry I ever started this process and I will abandon it if this doesn't work.

Sorry to hear this, Ralph. One always takes a huge risk buying direct from a company in China. With some members having success with this unit I too was thinking it may have something to offer. I hope it all works out for you. Please keep us updated with your experience.

Strange no one else have had faulty parts and you got two? Could the problem be the installer? Did he mess up?

Craig,
Before giving up on the inbuilt navigator, take a peek at my YouTube How To series on the 2012-2014 XK navigator. Not sure, but a lot of it might apply to your car.

Guys, quick question - I'm wondering if heated seats are working on a big screen. I changed for performance seats and they don't work for me (heating). Now I'm wondering if I screwed up with harness or it's a screen fault? I'm quite sure they worked on previous seats, but not 100% sure.

Do they work for you?

I am attaching three videos made by my installer showing the root or roots to the problem. They are labelled video, video1 and video2. If you watch them watch in the order indicated. Listen to what the installer is saying in each video. The first video show that with the factory head unit installed everything works. The 2nd and 3rd videos show that the blue module and the canbus are not functioning properly. If the modules were operating properly you would see a red "beam" indicating that the fibre optics are communicating. They are not communicating. If lyou decide to have this system installed in your vehicle DO NOT ORDER FROM GUANGZHOU ASVEGEN ELECTRONIC TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. The show no signs of standing behind their product and I have found their customer service to be abysmal. If anybody knows where to acquire the canbus and/or the blue module I would really appreciate contact information. Thank you

Sorry to hear the problems Ralph. Video 1 will be important to see. He appears to know what he's doing certainly and hopefully video 1 shows him using the fiber optic bypasses to close the fiber optic loop as you disconnect 3 and connect 1 so he would use the ICM in the blue box as he indicated and then use the fiber optic loops on the MOST connection to the old touchscreen and also the one that plugs into the CD player (Integrated audio unit aka IAU).

Hoping video 1 shows us this information.

Hi Peter,

I've bought this unit for my jab but have also the same issue with my oodb2 adapter not linkable with the unit ;/ did you manage to solve this ? i've read about an app 'bluetooth pair' to do it but i didn't manage to make it works. It pairs but not connect and torque don't see it.

Also i've no sound from the parking radar, do you have the feedback sound on yours ?

Regards,

Parking radar sound goes from additional black speaker being a part of tesla screen set. Hope it helps.

Default Wow, great thread. Anyone got a follow-up?

Excellent thread guys. I see it's been a while since some folks completed the shenanigans. Now that you've had your unit in for a while, how is it to live with?
