2008 XKR Portfolio Convertible
I just purchased this awesome piece of equipment with only 10,400 miles on it!
I have a few questions after reading the manual where it stated I would have features that I cannot find. Can anyone confirm whether they have access to these features:
1) Heated Steering Wheel?
2) Electronic Folding Mirrors?
(Also having issues syncing with my Samsung S7 Active) Shows it paired but then it is not connected. pretty annoying. Does anyone have any advice?

Welcome aboard. You are in for a lot of fun. regarding your questions:
1. The heated steering wheel symbol is directly between the seat/cool symbols. All you need do is touch the symbol, it should light up indicating that the SW heater is on.
2. See the section from the owner's handbook shown below:
1. Left mirror adjustment.
2. Right mirror adjustment.
Press the appropriate button to select the
mirror to be adjusted (button indicator
illuminates), then use the joystick control
to adjust the mirror glass.
3. Powerfold/unfold: Press both buttons
simultaneously.
This feature will only activate when the
vehicle is stationary or travelling at
20 km/h (12 mph) or less.
The mirrors can be adjusted and folded when
the ignition is on and for up to 5 minutes after
the ignition is switched off, provided the
driver’s door is not opened.
Note: Depending on the type of lens used,
distances may be difficult to judge accurately
when only using the mirrors.
The mirrors can be configured to automatically
fold when the vehicle is locked and unfold
when unlocked. This feature can be enabled or
disabled via the touch screen:
From the main Home menu, select Vehicle:
• Select Veh. settings.
• The Security screen is selected
automatically as the default.
• Select Mirror fold back On or Off.
If the mirrors are accidentally knocked out of
position (i.e. so only one is folded). To
re-engage the mechanism, power the mirror to
the foldback position, then outwards to the
drive position.
Note: If the mirrors were folded using the
switches, they will not unfold when the vehicle
is unlocked.
If you don't have a handbook you can download a PDF. You can find a link to the PDF in the third or fourth entry for this forum.
Finally post some pics; and have fun.

I have a 2010 XKR, so I'm not sure if everything is applicable to the 2008. However, I have a heated steering wheel. The "switch" is an icon on the climate screen of the display. I also have electronic folding mirrors that are activated upon locking and unlocking of the doors. I, unfortunately have a Samsung S7 (I hate all Samsung phones) and have no issues connecting unless I've accidentally switched off my bluetooth button on the Samsung (which happens more often than I care to admit).

I'm fairly certain that the 2008 XKR Portfolio models (coupe and convertible) were not equipped with a heated steering wheel. That's surprising for the top-of-the line model, and doesn't make any sense. How do I know this?
My 2009 XKR Portfolio convertible, which has every option including Adaptive Cruise Control and Alcon brakes, does not have a heated steering wheel. There is no steering wheel icon in between the right and left heated seat icons, just a blank space.
I set my outside mirrors to automatically power fold when locking and unlocking the car.

Ralph,
The heated steering wheel was part of the optional Luxury Package. That Package included the leather interior, which was ordered on most 2007-2009 US-market X150 models. That's why the heated steering wheel is so common.
The US-market Portfolio option in 2008 and 2009 included the full leather interior and unique leather-edged Leaper logo floor mats, but for some reason - or perhaps an oversight - the heated steering wheel was not available on Portfolio models.
Let's hear from other 2008 - 2009 Portfolio owners - anyone have a heated steering wheel?

I checked for folding mirrors previously and did not have them on mine.

I'm pretty sure that, unlike the XK, all USA-market 2010 XKR models came from the factory with everything, including Adaptive Cruise Control. The only options were colors. That was the only year everything was standard equipment, and Adaptive Cruise Control became optional once again in 2011 and all subsequent years.

OK, 'nuf said about the lack of a heated steering wheel in the USA-market 2008 and 2009 XKR Portfolio models. I knew that I addressed that matter years ago, and found my thread from 2010. Bottom line is it's not there and can't be activated in the software. If you want to read all the gory details, here's the link: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...g-wheel-46892/

All USA-market 2008 XKR Portfolio models came from the factory with 20" Cremona wheels and the exterior was painted Celestial Black, a color unique to the 2008 Portfolio.
.
All USA-market 2009 XKR Portfolio models came from the factory with 20" Selena wheels and the exterior was painted Shadow Gray, a color unique to the 2009 Portfolio.
Other markets may vary.

u102768,
I guess I wasn't entirely clear. My discussion regarding the heated steering wheel pertained to USA-market limited edition 2008 and 2009 XKR Portfolio models (4.2L SC). See my posts ##5, 7, 9, and 11, above. My discussion did not apply to any 5.0L Portfolio models.
My post #14 was in response to shemp's post #10 about the 2010 XKR (5.0L SC), in which he thought that Adaptive Cruise Control was an option. I explained that I was pretty sure that everything, including ACC, was standard equipment for 2010 XKR models (US Market). But I may be wrong, so let's hear from 2010 XKR owners. You may be right about 20" wheels being an option on the 2010 XKR, but I've never seen a 2010 XKR with 19" wheels.
I hope this clears things up a bit.

I agree, I suspect most XKR's were ordered with 20" wheels but according to the US press releases, brochures and order guides the 2010 XKR came with 19" Tamana wheels as standard and didn't get standard 20" wheels until 2013 when they got the Takoba.
