Default 2011 jaguar xkr 5.0 V8 supercharged radiator fan motor

Hi everyone, just joined I have the above car, plus an S type 2.7 diesel, the fan on my radiator isn't working, I can't find any stock in the UK, but even if they were available they are over £900 for the part, does anyone know if you can just get the motor, or is it possible to get the motor rebuilt? After all it's just and electric motor isn't it???!!! Any advice appreciated, was advised to join here for some advice, thanks Jase.

I'm sure you could, but it won't have a Jaguar parts number. You will need to separate it from the assembly and find the appropriate part number.
But are you certain it's the fan? And not some controlling apparatus like a temperature sensor...

As I've contributed before, remember the days where we would actually rebuild electric motors and alternators... My Riley owner's manual actually goes through the process of rebuilding the wiper motors. Apparently, an owner's responsibility.

Incidentally, I see a complete assembly (some knockoff) on rockauto for CAD480.00
