2012 XKR convertible need advice head gasket or motor?

Assume it is is the head gaskets, and open up the motor. Once inside judge the condition of the cylinders. Probably send the heads out for rebuild.
Check the shaft in the turbo for bearing wear Then close it up, and all should be all right. Check the wastegate is operating well. Qualified mechanic is needed incase there are other complications.

Personally because of the computer's system complexities, I would do a top overhaul instead of a switch. The price of buying a second engine with a few thou fewer miles, could equal the total price of the existing engine overhaul. Costs would be gasket kit, 2 heads overhauled, new turbo bearings, and a good mature mechanic that can estimate his time. All that, plus 30% incase of problems $.
White exhaust smoke after the engine has warmed up and reached normal operating temperature indicates water in the fuel. That can be from a bad head gasket or fuel in the tank that's contaminated with water. A cylinder compression test will disclose if a head gasket is bad.

Water in the fuel ?
What turbo? The XKR engine is supercharged.
White exhaust smoke after the engine has warmed up and reached normal operating temperature indicates water in the fuel. That can be from a bad head gasket or fuel in the tank that's contaminated with water. A cylinder compression test will disclose if a head gasket is bad.

That's very possible first of all it was not a flood car at all and it's not a salvage vehicle title is free and clear actually perfect
Now the possibility that water is in the fuel it's very possible I spoke with another mechanic and he said that it's also possible that coolant can get mixed in from a faulty oil pump
It could still very well be that it has a bad head gasket but I don't think there's any major internal damage just because every time I restarted there's no knocking noises and the engine runs smooth for about 2 minutes and quiet it's only after I believe the thermostat opens that's something get mixing.

Bottom line, never, ever saw a bad SC bearing allow for smoking.

Try this MminyanUSA: Since the smoking starts as the pressure builds in the cooling system, try running the car without the tank cap tight. No pressure, no smoke, in theory. Possibly the reverse would happen. Carbon vapor would enter the coolant and change its color. Just thinking out loud....

I think it's time for a sale

for now it's going for sale
thank you all for your help there's just too many variables to go down the rabbit hole and then end up selling it anyway. If anybody lives in the Northeast I'm more than happy to give them access to the car and pay them if they think they can figure something out.
I'll be looking for another one in good condition after I free up some parking space

Man, I saw the ad and came here to read this.
You are (unfortunately) selling from a position of weakness if you sell it now. Invest 1K with a shop to diagnose it. Get that in writing and then decide what to do. Your $1K spent may earn you more in the sale. Or it may not.
As someone that took off the intake (a super easy job), I can assure you that the work to get the head off (if it is indeed a head gasket) will need to be done by a pro (since you are outside in the elements.) At least that is my view.
