2013 XK - Seat Recline Gap (Driver vs Passenger)
Greetings everyone.
Im hoping that someone is able to assist me with an issue regarding the drivers side seat recline. The passenger seat reclines approximately 4 more inches than the drivers seat. I went to the dealer and they said the seat is functioning as designed. However it seems odd that Jaguar would design the seats this way. While I find the seats comfortable, i would prefer moving the seat back a little more. Please note that I have serched this forum and have seen other posts where the seats can be recalibrated, however these posts appear to refer to older model XKs and the dealership indicated that the seat design changed in 2013 and recalibration is not possible.
Any thoughts or advice is appreciated.
Many Thanks!

I had the exact same problem on my 2007 xk. The drivers seat was not reclining all the way back [I was missing about two inches of space] I went to the dealer and he recalibrated it in less than an hour. It made all the difference in the world, especially on long trips. I do not know whether your seat can be recalibrated or not. I would definitely try a different dealer just to be sure. If in fact it can't be recalibrated, and that is as far back as it goes, well I will never be buying that year xk for sure. I enjoy having a seat recline as far back as possible. Let us know how it works out.

Hi all. Thanks for your responses suggestions and input to date. I also would like to add that I happened to head over to my dealership where I noticed a 2012 XKR. I got the rep to show me how far back both seats recline and I found that they both went back equally comparable to where my passenger seat reclines. Of course they reiterated that mine is a 2013 MY and the seats were changed/redesigned. Im wondering if there are any 2013 XK or XKR owners out there that wouldnt mind checking if there is a difference in how far each seat reclines. Thank you in advance!

I looked at mine today while out to get it washed. Driver seat tilts back leaving maybe 1/4" between the seat back and the interior trim. I like to tilt the seat back as much as possible and I thought there would be more room but I can work with it. I'm 6'3" and 235 so I lower the seat bottom and push it as far forward as I can. I then tilt the back as far as possible. Steering wheel is pushed in as far as I can and tilted up a little so I can see the speedo and tach. It works for me.

sorry for the delay. I just reclined both backs on my 13 XKR they both go back the same distance which is about 1/2" from the back seat and side panels. Incidentally shortly before they go the last bit down the bottom seat cushion slides forward enough to make me believe I would be uncomfortable since I am 6' and have long legs.
