2014 XKR brake inspection timing

Sure I can probably find recommended inspection numbers in the book or online somewhere, but wanted to get the group's opinion on:
1. Free inspection at Jaguar dealer (so they can tell me all the things that are wrong) hmm. Would you NOT do it for any reason?
2. If you only drive in the summer, say 2,000 miles a year, how often roughly would you have the brakes inspected? I've never had to brake hard.
That's all.
Thanks,
GR

I have averaged 3500 miles a year since purchasing my car. I have a dealer do my oil changes as well as my NYS inspection. This is done every April as I bring the car out for the spring. They also do a 3X point Jaguar inspection which is usually is visual along with an interrogation of the various systems in the car. Being they need to go through the OBDII port they just have their computer hooked up. I usually ask and get a readout of the various parameters of the car. I assume it is dealer dependent as to whether they want to try to stick you with additional work. Last time I was there they called me as I was shopping using their loaner and told me they needed to do a SW update on the service reminder SW which would take half an hour. I told them to do it as it was a no cost issue. As far as brakes I was told I had better then 70% left and I have 24,000 miles on the car. That's my story so far.

My XK is also CPO. The qualifying checklist is extensive and the relevant criteria for brakes are:
Brake pad thickness (6mm pad material min)
Brake disc thickness (disks 50% of wear limit)
If it was close to these limits when you got the vehicle, there's not too much life left in either pads or discs.

What the guys said sounds right, I measured out my rotors (discs in Jaguar service manual vernacular) and they had 25% left at 40k miles. Granted I brake HARD all the time, from sounds of the OP not so much.
Inspection can't hurt, take the list under consideration and don't let them pressure you into fixing everything immediately if you are not so inclined.
