For what its worth to this discussion, I recently acquired my new (95 miles on the odometer) 2013 XKR with Performance Active Exhaust and Portfolio Pack, for less than 63% of the MSRP. It took about six weeks to do the deal. When I started negotiating there were four other similar cars in the US. During the course of the negotiations one, it was in Tuscon AZ was sold for more than 65% of MSRP. There two other located at a dealer in Lake Bluff IL north of Chicago and one near NYC. I don't know if they are still available or not, all were Ultimate Black. Mine is Rhodium Silver.

Time and mileage are what play the biggest factor in the purchase price of these cars. You have some other value-add, the biggest I believe is a CPO since it adds some level of additional warranty protection.
There is a 2015 XKR for $65k out there, but it has 33,000 miles. That is a lot for a 1 year old car...
I get it Queen and Country, you want to believe that the virtually new 2015 XK can be had for $50k, I don't think it will happen. Not enough time or mileage has occurred to drop the price that far. Ralph's deal on a 2013 XKR does not correlate, you can buy 2013 XKR's with low mileage at that price at any time, you cannot buy a 2015 with similar mileage. Same for an XK.

I really can't speak for anybody else. But, for what its worth here is my experience. I had my 2012 xk in for service in early January and the service manager told me they had a new 2013xkr out on the back lot. My response was I'm not in the market to replace my 12, but bring it around and I'll take a look at it. I drove it for about 1/2 hour and liked what I was driving. I asked what it would cost me and they gave me a price in the mid 80's. I said no thanks, too much. the response I actually gave them was we are so far apart I won't even respond, thank you very much and I left.
I spoke to some friends and did some checking and decided to let the whole thing "cook" for awhile. About a month later I sent the salesman assigned to me an email that read: This is my best and final offer, it is not subject to negotiation. Within 24 hours the salesmen called me and said the car is mine for $1k more than I offered. I accepted end of story.
I arrived at my offer by applying a discount to the MSRP which I thought, through my research would reflect a fairly accurate "market depreciated value". I know the dealer took a loss on the car, but he could no longer floorplan it as a new vehicle and his cost of keeping it kept running as long as he had the vehicle on the floor and the value would continue to depreciate on a monthly basis. I also did my due diligence on the vehicle to assure myself that there were no outstanding codes and that it was/is mechanically and cosmetically sound.
At the end of the day I have replaced a 2012 xk with 50k miles with a new 2013 xkr and an upgrade in equipment, etc. at a fairly reasonable cost given that I expect to own and drive this car through at least 2020 health permitting given that this was an 80th birthday present from me to myself.

Hey Ralph, this was a sold as new 2013 XKR? Does that mean you are under a 4 year/50k mile warranty starting when you bought it? If so that is a great deal.
I searched Jag USA for any new vehicles in inventory and only one XK showed up, a 2015 in South Florida for $85k. That is the way to buy, find a 2013/2014 that is new but buy it under the time depreciation for a steal. Problem is we will have to wait for 2018 for the 2015's to be available...

Not enough history on why the salvage title. Can't see accident damage before so this might be a flood car. My bet is an insurance company won't total a minor damaged car. Someone got a bargain price but may have to put some big dollars in it in the next few years. You get what you pay for.

Yeah, salvage titles are a crapshoot, that scares me away!
Having just had a 2012 totaled I can tell you that it takes a large dollar value to get up to the 70-80% required for the insurance carrier to write the car off. I can't see minor damage causing a car to be totaled!

If by "steal" you mean over-priced I'm with you! $30K off of MSRP (which the car didn't sell for that when it was in a current market) for a two year old car is not a considerable deal. XKR-s can be had with very low miles for $70K paying $115K+tax, license, etc is rather high. Another $40K for very few miles and perhaps another year or two of warranty is really steep. It's also not like you'd be getting to order exactly the options you desire as there weren't any on those models. As shown with the previous deals some of the members here are getting 35% off not 25% like this example maybe there's room to negotiate but that listed price is not in line with market hence likely why they still have it.
