Clear bra/black
I have 07 black XK and a very experienced installer will not put the bra on my car as it will not look perfect (he's a perfectionist in so doing he turned down a $450 job), as it will on a silver car as an example. That being said it is a no brainer on lighter colors. One thing you can do to help chips is to keep several coats of wax on the bumper cover. Hope this helps.

Use your own judgement of what to do, but I know I wouldn't use it on my Jaguar XKR.
Are you planning to leave your XK out in the sunshine most of the time, or in a garage away from the elements?

The car is in the garage 90% of the time. I have the clear bra on my 04 G35 Coupe front bumper for 10 years and it has saved me numerous times from road debris. I always try to stay my distance from any trucks but there are a ton of construction vehicles on all the major highways kicking up anything and everything.

Driving on highways will certainly cause nicks and chips in paint surfaces. I think it's unavoidable.
What to do? Lets us know what you do, how it works it, and the potential expense or cost of the project if completed. I am sure inquiring minds will want to know.

As stated you have to use your own judgement. Being garage kept 90% of the time will help prevent headlight discoloring.

PS....I've used this installer numerous times and he works on all the high end cars...Lambos, Ferraris,Maseratis, etc and is very meticulous. It's not cheap.

Clear Bra Package
Last year, I had a clear bra package installed on my Vapour Gray Metallic Jag XK Coupe which included:
Clear Bra on entire Front Bumper
Clear Bra on front 20” of Hood
Clear Bra on front 20” of Front Fenders
Clear Bra on front side of both Side Mirrors
Those 4 items above on my Jag XK cost $595
I also added 2 additional options, namely:
Clear Bra on inside of each Door Handle: $20 each
Clear Bra on top of Rear Bumper: $60
You can't see it if you don't know it's there and I love the protection it provides. I think it was money well spent!

I have been pleased with the results of the 3M film on previous cars. I decided it would be the first thing I would do on the XKR and I went full-tilt. Basically the complete kit from 3M with bumper, headlights, half the hood, mirrors, a-pillar/roof windshield surround, lower quarter panels, rear bumper, door handles, the works. Took them a solid 2 days.
I found a specialist to do the whole thing for $1,000 Cdn cash. Not too bad when the dealer offered only bumper and mirrors for $795... Ha!
