IS the 4.2 xkr propshaft/driveshaft same as the 5.0 xkr one?

if the 4.2 had a replacement differential installed then yes. if it’s still with a visteon 8.0 then no

This question is likely to be searched in future so worth adding details from the Parts Catalogue.

JEPC shows original C2P2169 was superseded by C2P16566 at VIN B23024. This was followed by a change at VIN B32573.
