5.0L XKR true 0-60 time
All, I've been doing and have done extensive research on the '10 XKR as I will be purchasing one in the near future. In my research I see varying 0-60 times. I've seen as high as 4.6 and as low as 3.8. It seems like I see 4.6 and 4.0 more often though. What is the true time? I would really like to know. Thank you.

With or without roll out
Edmunds Inside Line explains this nicely here: How We Test Cars and Trucks
After reading this you'll understand some use a roll-out for 0-60 but that makes it 5-60 in reality. On the otherhand roll-out is perfectly acceptable in 1/4 mile times.
I've come to rely on Edmunds Inside Line for truest numbers for comparing different brands and models and since my personal results on numerous cars come closest to their figures.
Additional info: 0 to 60 mph - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In reference to the other thread the 4.2 maybe be close to the 5.0 in 0-60 (0.3) but the variance in 1/4 mile is even greater (0.8).

Acceleration, 0-30 mph (sec.) 2.0
0-45 mph (sec.) 3.2
0-60 mph (sec.) 4.5
0-75 mph (sec.) 6.3
1/4-mile (sec. @ mph) 12.6 @ 115
0-60 with 1 foot of rollout (sec.) 4.3
Mike V. and everyone, do you think these times are accurate? Afer viewing the video Mike V. provided, I'm convinced Edmunds does their due dilligence to get accurate times, but I would like to hear what real world 5.0L XKR owners have to say. Thank you.

Mod's I've done have yet to show me any real difference. I ran nearly identical 0-60 times both stock and after a flash/pulley.
It's tricky to get those times on street tires, but possible. On drag radials, they can be had time after time.

So you did the ECU tune/pulley and didn't noticed anything? That's disappointing. Who did the mods for you? From what I've been reading in this forum, I thought that gave you a significant HP increase.

Yeah, well...jury is still out on the pulley and latest ECU flash. Friend of mine here, BigCat, saw improvements on a dyno. However, so far, I'm am trapping not a bit higher that I did stock at the track. I'm giving it another try this Friday, since the last time I was there was obscenely hot and humid out.

Don't forget that weather and road surface make a big difference. Some magazines actually correct their times. In sanctioned drag racing, they don't correct for weather, although there are sites for calculating it, but they do correct for altitude - which really makes a difference if you are talking a couple thousand feet or more.
