Default 5 year XK Anniversary today...

Wife likes to celebrate anniversary for the cat, dog, and marriage. Me, I track the Jag anniversary, Hallmark hasn't come out with an "I Love You Jaguar" card section yet, they have every other category though!

Seriously, I jest, but I had to be aware of this date as I bought an IAS tire coverage package and it expired today. Took the car in and had all 4 rims cleaned of any minor or major rash imperfections right before it ended. In 5 years I have had that done at least a dozen times at $0 out of pocket. That plus one covered tire replaced and the $1154 policy paid out approximately $2000.

So I reflect back on my 5 years of trouble free ownership, couple of little issues here and there which can happen with any car (a/c compressor under factory warranty, lower hose replaced on my dime for $250, couple of batteries), but mainly my maintenance has been routine yearly oil changes. Still goes down as the best car we have ever owned. Currently 43,400 miles.

As the old'n time Jag slogan went, this car has Grace, Space, and Pace. Happy motoring ladies and gents.

I see you are under no illusions over your place in the pecking order.

My seven year will be in September. Isn't that when I'm supposed to start getting itchy for a different model?
