ABS/Trac/Stab Ctrl Lights
My 1998 XK has developed a habit of displaying ABS/Trac control/ Stability Control warning lights sporadically and for no apparent reason. Upon restart they usually are off. My mechanic says that the wheel bearings are fine and that the rear brake rotors/pads should be replaced and that the upper control arm ball joints are a bit worn as are the CV u joints. He isn't sure what is causing the lights to come on. Could this be a low battery gremlin?
Thanks, Jim

You're in the wrong forum, unfortunately - this is for 2006+ XKs. Mods, can you move it to XK8/XKR for him?
However, I can tell you that my previous XK8 lost traction control & ABS due to a bad ABS sensor. It was initially sporadic, then permanent until the sensor was changed. Probably a dodgy solder joint inside the sensor or some such.
