First, why the heck would a premium 2015 model year car not support audio Bluetooth or USB phone streaming? I guess it’s one of several quirks being a Jag owner you have to get used to. I kicked around different ideas, like getting an iPod, to plug into the archaic iPod connection, or using a memory stick. But, I like the convenience of my iPhone having the latest of all my music, without having to synchronize other devices.
So, I ordered the Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the iPod connection, as per the attached. It was easy to connect to my phone, and sounds as good as any Bluetooth device. Also, since I have another Sirius subscription that has streaming, I can stream Sirius from my IPhone and don’t have to pay the exhorbitant Sirius subscription fee. Also, the device is self powered from the iPod interface. The only quirk is that I can’t use the Jag infotainment screen to make music selections…but that’s ok, because I have my iPhone mounted in a CD slot holder which makes it very convenient.
