Sounds like we don't ever want to leave the "FOB" behind......

I had my car shipped from NJ to CA when I moved, and was so pleased when it arrived in CA. But for the first 2 weeks, every time I left home or work, I would put my bag in the trunk, shut the lid, and it would immediately pop back open. I had to re-lock and unlock the car each time so I could close the trunk . It was driving me crazy, but I assumed the battery had run down while it was on the transporter, and this was another of those glitches. I booked it in at the dealer, and while I was sat there checking it in, I went into my bag for a pen and found my spare key fob in the bottom of the bag. Right before I left for the flight in NJ I had put my spare in my carry-on so I'd have it when the car arrived in CA, and forgot all about it. Turns out the Jag has a safety feature if you try to close the trunk with the key inside ..... guess what that is!

So,
It sounds like, if one is mugged and thrown in the trunk (going to be tight), then have that extra FOB in your shoe?

Brilliant idea! And you could cut a fob-shaped hole in your heel for that perfect, snug fit. On it!
