Default Aftermarket Blind Spot Monitor / Rear Cross Traffic Alert?

Anyone added an aftermarket Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) and/or Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) system to their X150?
Sure, visibility is good with the top down, but when it’s raining, or when backing out from between two big honkin’ SUVs, it can be dicey.
Been thinking about it, but reviews are mixed. So wondering if anyone has done it, and how it turned out.
Not looking to drill additional holes in the rear bumper, but there are behind the bumper units, and some license plate frame units.

No experience with this Ken mostly because the cost.

elegant solution, overpriced.

There are a couple other units out there besides the one Sean posted. I don't think they come with the cross-traffic though. Me, I just look into the blind spot. My F250 has all the safety stuff and I still look.

Nice looking when they integrate it into the mirrors like an OEM system. That’s kind of the hang up I have with most systems, is the cheap looking LED indicators that they use.

I say go for it with the Rear Cross Traffic Alert but forget the Blind Spot Monitor, if it can be done that way.
I have both on my F-Type and the RCTA has been a real boon and has possibly saved my bacon many times, while I find the BSM to be nothing but an annoying nuisance, alerting me to traffic I already knew was there (coz I have the exterior mirrors properly adjusted and I actually use them!).
I shop where the parking spots are tight and like you I am often hemmed in both side by effing great boof-mobiles and I can't see a freaking thing until I have already backed out at least half way, but the RCTA has never failed to warn me of oncoming vehicle(s) I had no chance of seeing. It's the ONLY "driver assist" I find to be even remotely useful.

I did. With OEM mirror glasses (looks 100% OEM). Works... okay, but have OEM in my Volvo and works better (more accurate, less false positives etc).

Driintel 3rd gen. from well know Chinese website. But not sure if I'd recommend this particular brand. In general - would buy something rather more expensive vs cheapest.
In theory it has cross traffic alert - but not sure about the range. Would not help.
The blind spot is okay - but once again - range (vs Volvo OEM system). But false positives on the motorway with barriers (over a certain speed).
You would not miss/hit a car in the blind spot, but it would not help you if someone is overtaking/passing by you with a much higher speed (Volvo OEM would detect it - ca 50-100m behind you).

As mentioned above - oem is much better. Aftermarket is as much helpful as annoying. Not sure if I'd install once again.

ps. Updated to the latest greatest version (new sensors, don't recall difference, but newer technology, top of the range on Ali now). Bit better than previous but still far away from OEM.
