Air con constantly on
Hi,
My 2014 XKR convertible is leaving a pool of clear water on the garage floor every time it's parked up, left had side at the front. I took it to my indy who checked it over & confirmed it was air con condensate. When I told him I wasn't using the air con he said it still come on from time to time.
Anyone have any observations or suggestions?
Thanks

Yes, I was under the impression that by default, if the climate control was on, so was the air conditioning. Its a good thing actually, it keeps the humidity down in the vehicle. Unless of course you have purposely turned the Air Conditioning off.
There it is… pg 106 in the owner’s manual.

I reckon the question is did the OP mean he uses the TSD to turn off the AC while leaving the climate (fan) running? Or did he mean climate is turned off completely. In areas of high humidity it would not be recommended to do the former as it could encourage moisture to be distributed without being removed.

That used to be true, but if what u102768 posted about having a clutchless compressor is correct (and I have no reason not to believe him), that may not be true anymore. At least for an X150. If it's always running, it's always pumping oil through the system, just maintaining lower pressures.
