I just this morning read on old BaT auction thread below a comment by @Texaco5 of this problem with his 2010 XKR with VIN after the supposed duck bill design change.

Not too bad a price. I paid 25K for my 2008 XK with 23,000 miles two years ago. This one is an XKR, 5.0 liter, less miles, and 3 years newer. Seems about right price-wise to me.

I bought my 2010 six years ago off lease CPO for $35k. Seems about four years too-new-priced to me.
Last year I check every price off and on and they averaged around $27k for the 2010-11 models. If they are back up in the low $30s, that's fine by me.

I just did jackjohns XKR a couple weeks ago. yes you will break off the egr coolant tube if you don't unbolt it. Or you can drop the front subframe down and the trans and you wont break it. either way the R's are much harder than the NA engines.
