I've heard the regular XKR fronts are adequate for 95% of driving, and much better than most cars. That seems an expensive option for only a moderate performance increase.

You can pickup 6 piston mono block calipers cheap from eBay off Porsche Cayenne S or Audi RS lines which are made by Brembo. All you need to get a shop to machine an adapter bracket to suit.
Porsche and Audi also run massive rotors sizes of between 390 - 420mm.

1 or 2 piston calipers have one major disadvantage- they will quickly (or way quicker) boil a brake fluid as heat has a closer route to the fluid.
Also pressing a single brake pad to the disc is suboptimal- but this one is obvious.
For the street use OEM ATE set is definitely good enough. On a track - would not be that optimistic...
