I wish someone made textured wood veneers for the car.

I don't mind the aluminum, especially on an all black interior - it brightens up the space.

Startech, a German tuning company, made this

beautiful cognac leather interior complemented by bamboo wood details.

Looks like a good job - not overly convinced by the colour scheme though

That's an interesting treatment on the door handles. Color reminds me of a warm comfort drink.

It goes to show you that Germans dont have a clue when it comes to style and practicality. (sorry Germans you must accept this!) And its a much larger problem than we realize.

We only started using fine burls as a way of decorating a wasted space which the eye stares at. Not unlike hanging art on walls. The art we chose for cars was the one nature creates coupled with the human craftsmanship of varnish and polish.

How does that translate to using the cheapest wood flooring- bamboo to ornate an interior. Its a wood that has no texture nor pattern- its not even wood- its a grass. But it gets dumber than that- because its not a hardwood, nothing cracks like bamboo when subjected to humidity swings like in the interior of a car.

I bet the first aluminum veneer interior on a luxury was a German idea.

Looking at the door handles it's appears they used a vinyl wrap, not real wood. The colors don't look particularly bad but they left the tan carpet and door recess covering in place. I think that takes something away from it.

A great result, happy for you.

The original is good, but not what these cars should be.
