Anticipation…
Enunciated to the tune of the song by Carly Simon.
My new to me ‘15 XKR convertible deal was closed last Thursday 9 May. Then it was shipped on a car carrier from Atlanta to San Bernardino, Ca. The car has a GPS tracker, so I was able to track it on its journey. I only looked about every hour. About 12:00 noon today, it arrived in San Bernardino, where it will be put on a flat bed and delivered to my driveway tomorrow Morning!,, I feel as excited as a kid on Christmas Eve, when he knows he’s getting a shiny new bike for Christmas.

I on!y did about 20 miles today. Got gas, got it smogged and cruised the coast a bit. Tried out pushing that button with the flag on it. omg..does it sound awesome!!!. Got to verify that 5 year old tires, don’t have the best grip, got on it a bit, and it got squirrely on me. But, damn it is a tight, firm yet smooth riding, fire breathing beast. I love it!!!
Gave it a nice bath, and she looks great! She is even more flawless, than I thought when I inspected her 1 week ago in Atlanta. And there was no damage during her cross country shipment.

Great ride! Welcome aboard. Now what you need is https://www.thejagwrangler.com/ one touch convertible top controller. A wonderful accessory that adds to your convertible top usage with a huge expense. Go to the website to check it out. A lot of us have added the controller and are completely satisfied with it.

+1 on the JagWrangler's remote control top with the optional rear window controls. Raising the rear windows makes a substantial difference in minimizing wind turbulence.
And be sure to also get a rear wind deflector if your XKR didn't come with one. I have the Adamesh version (same as Mina Gallery) because I could order it in black with contrasting beige stitching, which looks great with my ivory/slate interior. It's spring-loaded and fits in the factory holes in the sides. It's supported by 2 pins that fit in the slots between the rear seats. I found that those posts were a little too short, since when raising or lowering the deflector the entire unit would fall out of those slots and into the rear seat. Simple fix: I took some 1/4" clear plastic tubing that I had laying around and cut two 4" long pieces that I pushed over the posts, thereby making them about 3" longer. The tubing is barely noticeable and the deflector stays put when I raise and lower it.
Rear seat pins:
It clears the soft top when up, and can be folded flat horizontally with one hand when not needed.
With the top down, all 4 windows and rear wind deflector up, there is very little wind turbulence at 70 mph if your head is below the windshield header.
Some blonds prefer the wind in their hair ...
