Hi,

I currently own a 2010 Jaguar XKR 5.0 and the timing chain on left hand side of V8 is worn. Amber engine warning light plus reduced performance shown on dashboard.

To replace the timing chain I need a kit (Jaguar source for around £1700 but I know where to get an aftermarket kit for £295) and around 15/16 hours of labour. Jaguar charge £180+VAT per hour.

I'm looking to anyone who may know someone across the UK who could carry out this work. I'm finding it difficult in the NorthEast of England to find anyone willing to carry out this work other than Jaguar themselves.

I'm happy to arrange a toe to anywhere in UK really as I'm desperate to find someone who has the specialist knowledge other than Jaguar.

Any suggestions very gratefully received ?
