Any Jaguar Techs Here? ? Re 2012 LED Blades
These lights are decribed in the brochure as running lights yet they are not nor DRLs, the only way to turn them on is to have the switch set to parking lights or they will also come on with the headlights.
My dealership said that they tried setting the car's lights to another country's (can't remember which one) but this did not work.
If anyone knows how to get these things to run as DRL's I'd like know. I dont know why Jag has to be so different/difficult with the most obvious and or annoying little things. The LEDs look amazing when on and they are also a great safety feature for daylight driving.

Bright Side
The good thing about turning them on by switching to parking lights is you get the tail lights on as well where as regular DRLs only turn on in the front of the car. I'm usually more worried about getting rear ended, even with the parking lights on in the front people still pull out in front of you at the last minute.

It's weird because the brochure (and what a nice brochure the 2012's have, more like a book) says they are running lights.
Agreed that having the tail lights on are a good safety item too.
I was recently awarded a new US patent for an automotive lighting alert safety device that is being reviewed by BMW in Munich as we speak.
