Anyone Changing Oil w/o Extractor
I'd like to do an oil change on my new to me 2010 XKR before I put too many miles on it as based on the records I have it looks like it's due. I don't have an extractor handy (maybe I'll get one for my next change), but I do have a lift in my garage. Is there a drain plug on the pan? Anything I need to be mindful of?

Yep, be mindful that you'll have to take out like 600 screws to remove the aero panels under the front end to GET to the pan, and also that the drain plug on the pan is NOT at the lowest point so there will be lots of residual left behind.
Spend the $25 on an oil extractor, it will make the job INFINITELY easier, faster and cleaner.

I figured the aero panels would be a pain. I actually own an extractor, but it's at my shop, an hour away, and I am on vacation this week so I was hoping to save a trip.....Plus I wanted to get a good look at the underside of the engine since it's a new-to-me car I'd like to give it a good inspection.

With a lift, give it a go. It will give you the chance to clean everything out at the same time and note where dirt gets trapped.
The drain plug location and does not appear far from the lowest point (confirmed by people who have done it this way) so it is not a big worry, especially as the first fill volume is stated as 8.9 litres and the refill volume as 7.25 litres. There is already a lot of oil that does not drain to the sump in these engines.
