if anyone is in the San Clemente area and would be willing to put eyes on a 2002 XK8 convertible, please let me know.

Try posting your question on the X100 forum, which is for the XK8 from 1997 to 2006. This is the X150 forum.

Better still, try posting it in the US Western Region forum. Geographically relevant questions should go in the appropriate Region forum.

Yep, regional would be better as I'd volunteer to take a look if I were anywhere near there, but I'm a long way away.
